Liverpool are reportedly preparing to cash in on out-of-favour youngster Jordon Ibe.
Ibe scored in the Reds’ final Premier League game of the season against West Bromwich Albion but has struggled to fully force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans and could now be set for an early exit.
The Daily Telegraph claim the Anfield club are “prepared to listen to offers” for the 20-year-old during Klopp’s summer overhaul, with both Southampton and Watford said to be interested in signing the player.
Ibe is one of those peripheral figures who that threatens to see their first-team prospects at Liverpool become increasingly limited next season, with the absence of European football now confirmed.
Klopp has previously been forced to deny rumours of a rift between himself and the forward.
“Jordon Ibe [has had] not the most easy time,” he said in April.
“I have heard something that he has some problems with me or something – absolutely not,”
“Only a few young players come up and sometimes you’re in the squad and sometimes you’re not.
“He is still a brilliant, big, big talent and good for English football.”
