Sergi Canos threatens to become the second Liverpool youngster to leave the club this summer after hitting an impasse over his future.
The 19-year-old was handed his senior Reds bow by Jurgen Klopp during the final Premier League game of the season, away to West Bromwich Albion earlier this month.
Canos returned to Anfield following an impressive loan spell with Brentford but could now be set to walk away after struggling to find agreeable terms on a new deal.
It puts Liverpool at risk of losing another high-profile starlet, following Jerome Sinclair’s decision to join Watford on a free transfer when his current contract expires.
The Hornets are among a number of clubs monitoring Canos’ situation with a view to a move for the Spanish midfielder.
