Liverpool are hoping to secure £4 million when Jerome Sinclair’s transfer case is taken to tribunal.
The 19-year-old will leave Anfield this summer when his current contract expires next month after agreeing a four-year deal with Watford.
But the Reds are seeking a compensation package that matches the £4 million offer accepted from Bournemouth in April, only for the want-away striker to show no interest in the move.
This is likely to form a part of the representations that Anfield officials will take to the Premier League tribunal which will decide how much compensation Watford will be required to pay for the starlet.
Liverpool will received just £250,000 for Jordan Rossiter who has signed for Rangers, however the tribunal are expected to value Sinclair considerably higher.
Last month, the club was ordered by a tribunal to pay up to a British record of £8 million to Burnley following Danny Ings’ move to Merseyside as the protracted transfer saga was finally settled.
