Joe Gomez has hinted that he could spend next season away from Liverpool.
Gomez made a handful of appearances since joining the Reds in summer 2015 due to a cruciate knee ligament injury which sidelined him for over 12 months.
His return in an FA Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle was followed by only a further two outings in the same competition under Jurgen Klopp last season.
And the defender admits that regular game time will be a priority for him next term, pointing to possible time away from Anfield in the form of a loan spell.
He said: “The main thing is getting regular football.
“I just want to get back to enjoying my football and playing consistently.
“I think that’s something I’ve missed over the last couple of seasons with the injury, but now it’s all in front of me.
“I just have to put in the work and be prepared to do it.”
Brighton & Hove Albion have already emerged as a potential suitor for Gomez with Chris Hughton already confirming the Premier League newcomers’ interest.
