Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has returned to training following a three-month spell on the sidelines.
Grujic last featured for the Reds as a late substitute in an EFL Cup tie with Leeds United on November 29 before succumbing to a lengthy hamstring injury.
A promising pre-season campaign offered hopes that the Serbia international would be a regular fixture after scoring in a 4-0 friendly win over Barcelona.
But Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool manager has been restricted to just two starts from five first-team appearances in all competitions this season.
The £5.1 million capture from Red Star Belgrade however will attempt to stake a claim after rejoining the first-team squad ahead of Monday’s trip to Leicester City.
Meanwhile Klopp has admitted that Danny Ings will not make his own comeback from a second season-ending knee injury until the summer at the earliest.
Ings was ruled out for up to nine months following injury picked up during the Leeds game but had hoped to make a return to action in the current campaign.
“Danny is not fit [yet] – he’s in a good way but it will take time,” said Klopp.
“I don’t think there is any chance for this season. We are looking at pre-season.”
