Jamie Carragher has told Loris Karius to ‘shut up’ after the Liverpool goalkeeper’s latest blunder.
Karius made a second mistake in as many games to gift West Ham a lifeline at Anfield as he was easily beaten by Dimitri Payet’s first-half free kick.
Earlier this week the German hit out at Carragher and his Sky Sports colleague Gary Neville for criticising him following the 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth.
Carragher responded during his analysis of Karius’ mistake as Jurgen Klopp’s side trailed at half time.
“The ‘keeper got criticism last week and has come out and had a pop at Gary Neville and mentioned me,” he told Sky Sports.
“My advice would be: ‘Shut up and just do your job’.
“Doing your job and answering your critics would be saving that. That is not difficult, I think the positioning is fine, he gets across and reads it well and he is there.
“And his wrists, again like the first goal at Bournemouth, are not strong enough. It is not even in the corner and Payet has not even hit it that hard.”
