Jurgen Klopp insists that Liverpool have ‘absolutely’ no plans to sell any first-team players.
The Reds manager’s pledge comes amid continued speculation surrounding the respective futures of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho in recent weeks.
Sturridge has been linked with a move away from Anfield after the England striker had failed to secure a regular starting role under Klopp this season.
Coutinho, meanwhile, has regularly been tipped to join Barcelona next summer despite the absence of a buy-out clause in his current Liverpool contract.
“There’s absolutely no idea or thought to sell any player of the first team squad,” said Klopp.
“I don’t think it would make sense.
“Unfortunately Daniel is not in training until now.
“I’m more concerned about that than any rumours or transfer rumours.”
