Manolo Gabbiadini is on the verge of becoming an Everton player, according to reports in Italy.
Focus has turned to the Napoli striker after the Blues missed out on Deportivo La Coruna forward Lucas Perez, now who appears destined to join Arsenal.
Calciomercato claim that a €25 million fee has been agreed the Serie A side for Gabbiadini after the Blues’ original offer of €22M is said to have fallen short.
Vincenzo Morabito, who is acting as an intermediary in the deal, revealed on Italian radio that the transfer could be sealed before this weekend’s fixtures.
When asked about a swift conclusion, he replied: “I hope so, yes.
“We must try to close today, make the most of the day because Saturday and Sunday there is the championship.
“They will all be a bit distracted, the coaches.”
