Everton FC to beat Tottenham to ex-Barcelona striker

Everton are confident of beating Tottenham to the capture of Sandro Ramirez.

Both the Blues and their London counterparts have been tracking the Malaga striker, with Ronald Koeman personally watching the player last weekend.

Koeman and director of football Steve Walsh were present to see Sandro hit his 14th La Liga goal of the campaign in a comprehensive 3-0 win over Celta Vigo.

Atletico Madrid and Sevilla had joined Spurs in vying for the former Barcelona forward but Goodison Park officials believe they have won the race for his signature.

Sandro is said to have been encouraged by Everton’s initial approach earlier this week, with negotiations likely to be a formality due to his contract release clause.

Malaga inserted an automatic £5.1 million valuation as part of their successful signing of the 21-year-old from the current Spanish champions-elect.
