Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu could make a summer return to Barcelona.
Deulofeu recorded his first goal for AC Milan during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina as he spends the remainder of the current season with the club.
However a reunion with the Blues loanee’s former club remains firmly on the cards heading into the next transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Barcelona are keen to activate his €12 million (£10.2m) buy-back clause this summer with a view to a quick sell-on deal.
Contrary to the report, the current Spanish champions would not be able to make such a rapid turnaround on Deulofeu immediately after re-signing him.
A stipulation of Everton’s 2015 deal for the 22-year-old was that Barcelona would not be able to sell the player for a minimum of 12 months if he was to rejoin the club.
