Everton have been given fresh hope of retaining Romelu Lukaku after the striker’s agent hinted at him staying at the club.
Lukaku continues to be linked with a host of elite European clubs as his departure from the Blues this summer, in pursuit of Champions League football, appears inevitable.
But that could all be set to change after representative Mino Raiola alluded to the recent power shift at Goodison Park that saw Farhad Moshiri become Everton’s new majority shareholder as a possible reason for the Belgium international to stay put.
“Everton don’t need the money anymore but Romelu wants to play for a club that can win trophies,” he told Sportwereld.
“[However] something’s changed at Everton. There’s a new project. If he leaves, it has to be a good deal for all parties”
