Romelu Lukaku signals desire to leave Everton FC this summer

Romelu Lukaku has given his strongest indication yet that he will leave Everton this summer.

The 23-year-old Belgian has been the source of constant speculation in recent months, with a number of top European teams repeatedly linked with his signature.

Former club Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus have all reportedly expressed an interest in the £65 million-rated player, who will also speak to new Blues backer Farhad Moshiri before making a final decision on his future.

But after plunging an impressive 25 goals in what was an otherwise disappointing season for the 11th placed Toffees, Lukaku has admitted that his current intention is to leave the Goodison Park outfit in order to fulfill his lofty ambitions.

Talking to The Mirror he said “I’m at a point where I have to make a good career choice,”

“We have a new investor at Everton and out of courtesy I will listen to what he has to say. But I have my own ideas in mind. I want to win titles.

“I have had a very good season, but it is time for me to write myself a CV. That is why I play football.

“I got that trophy-winning mindset from Chelsea.”
