Ronald Koeman is keen for Everton to book their Europa League place early.
The Blues will host Ruzomberok in Thursday’s first leg of their third round qualifying tie after the Slovakian side overturned SK Brann this week.
Koeman’s side can make their progress to the competition’s group stages a relative formality with a comprehensive scoreline at Goodison Park.
And the Everton manager, whose side take on KRC Genk on Saturday, is keen for his side to take full advantage of their home comforts.
He said: “I was a little bit surprised.
“We watched the first game on the computer and for the Norwegian team it was a really good result.
“We didn’t expect this result yesterday but anyway we know what we will get.
“It is a difficult trip but we play at home next Thursday and we need to be prepared to get a really good result at home and then we can reach the next round.”
