Sandro Ramirez will become the latest addition to Everton’s transfer revolution.
The Malaga striker had deliberated over a proposed £5.2 million move to the Blues following discussions with director of football Steve Walsh last weekend.
But Sandro is now set to be unveiled as an Everton player in the next 48 hours after successfully passing a medical to finalise his switch from La Liga.
Atletico Madrid were also interested in the 21-year-old but an appeal over their transfer ban was upheld, allowing Ronald Koeman’s side to retake pole position.
Sandro scored 16 goals for Malaga last season, one which came under the gaze of the Everton manager as he and Walsh observed a 3-0 win over Celta Vigo.
Koeman’s capture of the Barcelona graduate takes summer spending at Goodison Park to almost £60m following Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen‘s arrivals.
Pickford became Everton’s record signing in a deal worth £30m from Sunderland while Ajax captain Klaassen joined for £23.6m from the Europa League finalists.
Attention is now set to be turned to securing deals for Burnley’s highly-rated defender Michael Keane and Swansea playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Sigurdsson is likely to cost Everton in the region of £40m as the Welsh club strive to hold onto last season’s player of the year.
