Deulofeu set to finally seal Everton FC exit

Gerard Deulofeu is set to finally complete his loan move to AC Milan.

Confusion reigned over the Everton winger’s planned switch after the Serie A giants prematurely announced his capture on a short-term deal until June 30.

That claim was refuted by Blues officials, who insisted that no agreement had been reached with Milan as negotiations continued over the weekend.

But reports in Italy suggest that Deulofeu will finally seal his switch to the San Siro at the beginning of next week after talks concluded between the two parties.

The agreement will see Everton net a fee of around £650,000 but Milan chief Adriano Galliani remained coy when speaking about the 22-year-old on Saturday.

He said: “I have been authorised to say that the negotiations are continuing.

“That is all I am allowed to say right now, so that’s what I’ll say.”

According to Tuttosport, the Spain international will travel to Milan on Monday to undergo a medical ahead of rubber-stamping his half-season loan.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has given Deulofeu his blessing to pursue first-team football away from the club since failing to feature regularly under him.
