Arsenal succeed in moving Everton trip

Everton’s game with Arsenal has been moved for a second time.

The Premier League fixture at Hill Dickinson Stadium was previously switched to Sunday, December 21 to accommodate TV broadcast commitments.

However the Gunners successfully lobbied top flight chiefs to bring forward the clash due to a two-day turnaround before their Carabao Cup quarter final.

David Moyes’ side are now set to entertain the current league leaders in an 8pm start on Saturday, December 20 rather than the original revised date.

Arsenal’s last eight showdown with Crystal Palace has been moved to December 23 while their visitors will also travel to Leeds on December 20.

That is despite their Conference League meeting against Kuopion Palloseura taking place on the Thursday prefacing the Premier League weekend.

Mikel Arteta publicly argued for his side’s game to be switched as it ‘doesn’t make any sense’ for them to play two days after their latest domestic outing.
