San Carlo Liverpool unveils festive menus

San Carlo has unveiled its bespoke Christmas menus and is promising to be their most luxurious to date.

Renowned for their fresh produce sourced from the best producers in Italy and the UK, the new festive menus showcase some of San Carlo’s best plates.

Available from November 13,  the exquisite Christmas Fayre Lunch & Dinner menu is perfect for long lunches to evening dinners, intimate family occasions to glittering parties. Expect the famous San Carlo atmosphere and flamboyant service  — all designed to make this Christmas truly unforgettable.

San Carlo’s Christmas Fayre menu features a delectable selection of Antipasti, including Gamberoni Luciana (king prawns in garlic and chilli sauce), Mozzarella in Carrozza (fried mozzarella in bread with a basil and tomato sauce), and Burrata e Pomodoro (burrata from Corato in Puglia served with marinated beef tomato carpaccio and fresh basil).

For the main course, diners can choose from eight dishes including Branzino (pan-fried fillet of sea bass with a lime sauce), Tagliatelle Porcini (chestnut tagliatelle, porcini mushrooms, Italian black truffle and Grana Padano shavings) or Tacchino con Ripieno di Castagne (turkey with chestnut stuffing, chipolatas wrapped in pancetta, served with Italian jus). All mains are served with a selection of seasonal vegetables & rosemary potatoes. To finish, indulge in desserts such as the Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding,  Ferrero Rocher Cake, Panna Cotta,  or Tiramisu, served with tea or coffee.

For those looking for the ultimate relaxation this Christmas, San Carlo’s Christmas Day Festive Lunch is not to be missed. A choice of six Antipasti dishes will be served on the day, including Avocado Bernardo (avocado with lobster, scampi and prawns with Marie Rose sauce), Crostone Funghi and Tartufo (toasted Altamura bread with mushrooms, garlic, truffle and Grana Padano shavings) and the Carpaccio di Manzo (thinly sliced filet of beef with mustard dressing, Grana Padano cheese and rocket salad).  Antipasti is followed by a Champagne Sorbet to cleanse the pallet.

For the main course, diners can choose from dishes such as Scaloppine Signor Sassi (veal cooked in cream, brandy, mustard seeds and mushrooms), Salmone Prosecco e Gamberetti (pan-fried salmon cooked with Norwegian prawns and Prosecco sauce), Tournedo Rossini (classic filet of beef cooked in Madeira wine sauce topped with chicken liver pâté and fresh truffle) or for those looking for something more traditional, the Tacchino con Ripieno di Castagne (turkey with chestnut stuffing, chipolatas wrapped in pancetta, served with Italian jus). All of the mains are served with  a selection of seasonal vegetables & rosemary potatoes.

To finish, indulge in desserts such as the Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding served with limoncello and homemade vanilla ice cream, Torta Pistacchio (Sicilian pistachio cake), Meringata alle Fragole (meringue cake with Strawberries) or Pere Al Chianti (chianti poached pears with hazelnut ice cream).

The Christmas Day Festive Lunch can be booked for £94.50 per person, with children under 12 half price.  Vegan and Vegetarian options are also available.

Throughout the festive season, San Carlo’s new winter menu will also be served offering a selection of delicious dishes, marrying comforting winter warmers with authentic Italian ingredients that San Carlo is renowned for,  plus some show-stopping new additions.  Using the best of new season produce, the winter menus includes a delicious variety of carne (meat), pesci (fish), and pasta dishes, as well as new starters and sides.
