The Liverpool Pageant of Power - 2010
Celebrating Liverpool Ones second birthday, and as a precursor to its sister pageant in Cholmondeley in July, super fast cars took turns to race by the assembled motorheads, some of whom clambered up traffic lights and road signs for the best vantage point. Kicking off the action was Liverpool FC emblazoned superleague racer, leaving children and adults clasping their ears as it fired down the track. Other highlights included a 1929 Bentley Napier, a Bugatti Veyron, a Lamborghini, a Rolls Royce, Jaguars and an old-style Audi Quattro. Duration: 1.72

Victorian Gadgets and Inventions - Croxteth Hall
An array of weird and wonderful Victorian gadgets have gone on show at Croxteth Hall in Liverpool. The exhibition will run from April 1 to May 23. Tickets are £2.75 for adults and £2 for children and OAPs. The objects range from the useful, to the down right bizarre and include a self pouring tea pot, a moustache spoon, and an early Victorian version of inline skates.
