Waterloo's travelling fans should not be short of Saturday afternoon excitement if matches continue in this vein.
Against a much fancied Fylde team, Waterloo secured a four try bonus point in an exciting comeback but fell agonisingly short of an elusive win.
A bright start by Loo led to an early try by Ian Moran after Adam Anderson cleverly found him in space. The try was impeccably converted by Liam McGovern from the touchline.
However for the rest of the half the heavier Fylde pack held sway and two close range tries and a penalty gave them the lead at half time 15-7.
The second half started with a flowing move leading to a touchdown for Fylde from Moore, and
then an exhilarating 15 minutes looked to change the game fin favour of Loo.
It started deep in Waterloo's 22 when a mazy run from Ian Moran was continued by James Gee who released James O'Brien to touch down.
Liam McGovern converted. More was to follow just minutes later when a great tackle and turnover by Gee released O'Brien and from 50 metres no one could catch him.
Then from a scrum on the half way the ball went wide to Ian Moran who beat his man, fed O'Brien inside, who found supporting captain Bell who in turn put away Liam Reeve to score
under the posts.
McGovern converted both tries. The score became 22 -31 when Ian Moran coolly slotted over a 45m drop goal.
To their credit Fylde regrouped but were helped by a second technical offence decision that
reduced Loo to 14 men for the last 18 minutes.
The seven man pack fought valiantly but two further short range converted tries from forward drives edged Fylde into the lead with only minutes to go and as Waterloo pressed for a winning score a penalty try deprived them of a losing bonus point.
The spirit shown was best summed up by the refusal of the front row of Nuttall, Rylance and Gibney to take a backward step against heavier opponents. The big win is coming.
