Following last night's 5-1 thrashing of Croatia at Wembley, bookies around the UK have slashed the odds on Fabio Capello's side to go all the way at next years world cup finals.
The Three Lions booked their place in South Africa in style last night, making it 8 wins from 8 games in the group stages.
The Italian was quick to emphasise the importance of last nights win for his side, and highlighted the quality of individual performances from Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, who silenced critics and proved they can work together as an effective midfield partnership.
The England boss said; "We won 5-1 and the performance of the team was very, very important.

"I think we played the best first 20 minutes that we have played during qualification for the World Cup.
"The result is really, really important. 5-1 against Croatia here at Wembley where we lost last time - it is really good for the psychology of the players."
Bookies Paddy Power have touted England as 4th favourite to lift the famous trophy, behind European champions Spain, and the dangerous South American sides from Brazil and Argentina.
Darren Haines, spokesman for Paddy Power, said: "Whisper it, but England might actually have a chance. It’s going to be the biggest patriotic punt ever seen and will cost bookies hundreds of millions if Fabio can take the boys all the way."
