Local bragging rights are at stake on Wednesday evening when Everton and
Liverpool Ladies face off in the Women's Super League.

Sitting at opposite ends of the table, both sides will be disappointed with
their performance in the first half of the season and know a win against their
rivals could kick-start their campaigns.

Fourth placed Everton will be looking to leapfrog Chelsea into third as they try live up to their billing of pre-season title favourites.

Robbie Johnson's Liverpool team meanwhile are propping up the league in last place, they will be hoping to register their first win of the season against Mo Marley's girls.

The Blues' come into the game on the back of a convincing 2-0 win against Chelsea in
their first game after the mid season break.

It was a disappointing return to action for the Reds', who went down 3-0 to
second placed Arsenal, that result left them four points adrift at the bottom.

Blues' boss Marley, who was disappointed with her teams performance in the first part of the season, said believes there can be no more excuses for under achieving.

She said: "We struggled in the first half of the season, but we want to put that right
over the next six or seven games.

"That's what we've got to do. There can be no more excuses."

Supporters will be hoping that this game is exciting as the previous clash
between the two teams, when a six goal thriller resulted in a 3-3 draw.

The game takes place at Marine Football Club, Crosby and tickets are £3 for
adults and £1 juniors.
