Tony Bellew will return to training at the club where he boxed as an amateur, after it was announced he has ended his formal arrangments with Anthony Farnell.

The Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion is going to be put through his paces at the Rotunda ABC in Kirkdale ahead of his British light-heavyweight title bout with Ovill McKenzie.

Sources close to the Wavertree boxer have revealed he has left Farnell’s stewardship in order to train closer to home, and that the pair remain on good terms.

The Bomber has been training at Arnie’s Gym, in Manchester, since he turned professional in 2007, and is unbeaten in 15 fights.
