Liverpool are reportedly mulling over a €10 million bid for Francesco Cassata.
The Juventus midfielder is spending this season at Serie B outfit Ascoli but reports claim he could be bound for the Reds, who are weighing up their options.
Cassata graduated from the Italian giants’ academy and has scored once in 19 appearances during his current loan spell at the Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca.
Tuttosport report that Jurgen Klopp is prepared to pay €10m (£8.6m) to secure the 19-year-old’s signature despite Ascoli having the option to extend his stay.
It remains unclear whether Juventus would accept the terms of Liverpool’s offer as Klopp continues to target midfield options in the January transfer window.
News of Cassata’s potential move to Anfield comes after Juve were reportedly preparing to make a summer swoop for Emre Can.
