Liverpool are preparing to step up their interest in Julian Brandt this summer.
Brandt, 20, has scored three times and created six goals for Bayer Leverkusen this season and been the subject of regular interest from Anfield scouts.
Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Juventus are already among a host of elite European clubs also currently keeping tabs on the Germany international.
But the Liverpool Echo claim that the Reds are planning to test Leverkusen’s resolve during the summer transfer window with a move for Brandt.
The versatile attacker could be available next year for a fee in the region of £11 million due to a clause triggered in the final year of his contract at the BayArena.
Jurgen Klopp’s reputation for developing young talent at Anfield and during his time at Borussia Dortmund is hoped to be a key factor in convincing Brandt.
