Liverpool have received three nominations for December’s Premier League awards.

Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are shortlisted for the Player of the Month accolade after helping Arne Slot’s side hold onto top spot.

The Egyptian won November’s award after seven goal involvements, which he followed up with six strikes to extend his lead in the Golden Boot race.

Salah’s brace in a 6-3 rout over Tottenham saw him move above Billy Liddell in the club’s all-time scorer list while also setting a new top flight record.

The Reds’ talisman became the first-ever player in Premier League history to amass double figures in both goals and assists before Christmas.

Slot is also bidding for back-to-back Manager of the Month awards after ending the calendar year with a six-game unbeaten league run.

He will go head-to-head with Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth and Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe.

The winners of both the Manager and Player of the Month awards will be determined by a public vote which closes at 12pm on Monday, January 6.
