The agent of Standard Liege striker Milan Jovanovic has dismissed reports that his client has signed a pre-contract agreement.

Zoran Stojadinovic insists that, contrary to reports, the Reds have no sealed a deal to snap up the Serbian hitman in the summer.

Jovanovic has been in high demand with his contract set to expire with the reigning Belgian champions at the end of this season.

Despite interest from the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan, Stojadinovic revealed that Spain is a more likely destination for the 29-year-old with several Primera Liga clubs enquiring about his availability.

He said: "There are many possibilities. The situation will be resolved soon, but he has not signed for any club as yet."

"There is plenty of interest from Spain, but there are also a number of clubs from across Europe that remain keen."
