Liverpool and Everton have been handed ties against lower league sides in the third round of the FA Cup.
The draw was made shortly after the Reds had defeated their rivals in today's Barclays Premier League clash at Goodison Park.
Rafael Benitez's side will face a lengthy trip to the Madejski Stadium to take on Championship outfit Reading whilst the Blues will take on League One's Carlisle United at Goodison.
Elsewhere in the draw, there will be two London derbies when Arsenal make the short journey across the capital to take on West Ham United whilst holders Chelsea entertain Watford at Stamford Bridge.
The fierce Trans-Pennine rivalry between Manchester United and Leeds United could be renewed should Simon Grayson's side overcome Conference outfit Kettering Town in their second round replay.
Matches will be played on the weekend of 2 and 3 January 2010.
