Liverpool FC star Daniel Agger reveals injury retirement torment

Daniel Agger has revealed that he considered retiring from Anfield and football in general earlier this summer.

The Liverpool defender made the shock confession in an interview with a newspaper in his native Denmark after an injury-hit career which was struck again this summer with a back problem which forced the 24-year-old to consider his future.

He said: "My back was hurting so badly that I considered stopping playing..

"I asked myself if it was worth continuing playing. When you can't even lift your own child out of bed, then something is terribly wrong."

It's very good for him to come back. He will try to make the Liverpool defence better by reducing the number of goals conceded.
