Liverpool recorded their first win of the pre-season, with a 5-0 victory over Singapore on Saturday.
Goals from Fernando Torres, Andriy Voronin, Albert Riera and two goals from Krisztian Nemeth sealed the win that marked the end of The Reds' tour of Asia.
It was Voronin who opened the scoring just before half time, hitting a low shot beyond keeper Hassan Sunny.
Unlike previous pre-season matches, Benitez made just three changes at the break, Peter Gulasci took over from Diego Cavalieri in goal, Emiliano Insua replaced Mikel San Jose, and Ryan Babel was swapped for Albert Riera.
It was the Spaniards introduction which brought more goals.
Riera made it two on 54 minutes, after smashing a left footed strike past Sunny, after good work from Mascherano.
Dirk Kuyt was one of seven subs brought on at the hour mark, and he made the most of his run out, claiming the final three assists. His first came after his run and cross from the right was met by Nemeth who grabbed his first of the night, with a side footed finish.
Despite the continued speculation about his future, Xabi Alonso played a part in the match, replacing Daniel Agger with 12 minutes left, and two minutes later, Torres' tap-in made it four, to earn the biggest cheer of the night.
