Three players from Liverpool's 2005 Champions League triumph are set to feature in a short film about the historic win in Istanbul.
Defender Jamie Carragher, captain Steven Gerrard and former Reds midfielder Dietmar Hamann are all expected to make cameo appearances in 'Fifteen Minutes That Shook The World' - a production which will centre on the game at the Ataturk Stadium in which the Anfield outfit came back from 3-0 down against AC Milan to win the trophy for a fifth time.
The script was written by local playwright Dave Kirby, best known for co-writing cult play Brick Up The Mersey Tunnels, with a share of the profits will go to Carragher's charity - The 23 Foundation - and the veteran defender is more than happy to be on board for the project.
“When Dave Kirby and Paul Flanagan approached me about this idea, I read the script and thought it was hilarious," said Carragher.
“The lads and I are going to have to take the mickey out of ourselves. The film is a great way of raising awareness for The 23 Foundation.”
The film will feature a vast array of local talent with Scully's Andrew Schofield, Brookside's Suzanne Collins and Jake Abraham from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels all being involved in the project alongside Phoenix Nights star and Radio City DJ Neil Fitzmaurice who will portray Reds' manager Rafael Benitez.
Co-producer Paul Flanagan added: “We are hoping to get the whole Liverpool team involved. Liverpool fans will love it but it will also appeal to anyone who has a passion for football.
“Jamie asked me to be on the board of his new charity and we wanted to start generating awareness for the charity so we got involved with the Community Foundation.
“The film is a fantastic way of giving something back to football fans.”
The movie is expected to be released in autumn this year with open auditions being held at Cafe Sports England in Stanley Street from 11am on Wednesday 22 July 2009 to find lookalikes to play the Reds' 2005 team. For more information, e-mail Minutes_15@hotmail.com.
