Liverpool face an anxious wait to see if Pepe Reina will feature in Saturday's visit of Reading.
Reina suffered a hamstring problem during the warm-up for Spain's World Cup qualifying clash with France but was remained an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw,
He will now undergo assessment at Melwood today to determine the extent of the injury, which could rule him out of the game with Brian McDermott's side to Anfield in three days' time.
The 30-year-old has been a near ever-present in the Reds goal but was suspended last season after being sent off against Newcastle. Alexander Doni was sent off in his second game as stand-in, which saw Brad Jones chosen for an FA Cup semi final win over Everton.
With Doni still in his native Brazil due to personal reasons, Jones has been restored to Liverpool's second-choice stopper and would deputise on Saturday if Reina is sidelined.
