Liverpool will kick off the 2012-13 season away to Steve Clarke's West Bromwich Albion.

Brendan Rodgers' first Premier League test as Reds manager will see him come up against the club's former defensive coach at Hawthorns on Saturday, August 18.

Anfield's first taste of domestic football will come a week later against defending champions Manchester City while Arsenal and Manchester United both lie in wait in September.

The first Merseyside derby of the season takes place at Goodison Park on October 27, with the corresponding fixture at Anfield arriving towards the tail end of the season, on May 4.

Rodgers will come up against Swansea City for the first time on November 24 at the Liberty Stadium while the Ulsterman will host his former club on February 23.

Christmas will see Liverpool on the road to Stoke City and Fulham before a New Years' Day meeting at home to Sunderland, which is followed by a trip to Old Trafford 11 days later.

A home meeting with Queens Park Rangers will cap off Rodgers' first full season in charge.
