Kenny Dalglish insists that no players will be arriving or leaving Liverpool before the close of the transfer window.
Reports over the weekend claimed that the Reds were interested in a swap deal for want-away Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez which would have seen record signing Andy Carroll heading in the opposite direction.
Liverpool have dismissed the suggestions as Carroll prepares to mark 12 months on Merseyside tomorrow night, when is expected to feature in the Premier League clash with Wolves.
And Dalglish has refuted the speculation that any deal was brokered for the £35million hit man or indeed any other players at or away from the first team squad before the transfer deadline.
The Kop boss did however confirm that goalkeeper Danny Ward has joined the club's academy ranks with the 18-year-old's move from Wrexham expected to cost in the region of £100,000
He said: "The answer is that there's been no update in or out of the football club before the transfer window [shuts] so there's nothing happening here apart from the young goalkeeper from Wrexham, and that's the academy.
"For here at Melwood there'll be no one moving in or out.
"We've covered what we've had to say, end of story. We don't need to justify what people are speculating about."
