Kenny Dalglish has warned that patience is still required with Liverpool's summer signings.
Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson headed up a lucrative close season spending spree as the Reds looked to strengthen following Dalglish's permanent appointment at the end of last season.
Defender Sebastian Coates continues to earn the plaudits after another solid performance during last weekend's stalemate at home to Stoke City but the Kop boss has emphasised the need for several of Liverpool's other new recruits to be afforded the time to prove their worth.
He said: "We've been delighted with Seb since he's come in.
"It's a difficult time, he's only young, coming in from Uruguay; it's a different culture but it's helped him that Luis and Maxi are here to help him settle down, and he's settled down really well.
"We're very pleased with him but we have to be patient with him and anybody that's come in.
"I think there's seven lads that have come in at the start of the season and we have to be patient with them.
"They've certainly made progress and will continue to make progress the longer they're here."
