Craig Bellamy's new lease of life at Liverpool should serve as an example to the club's rising stars, according to Kenny Dalglish.
The seasoned Wales striker has rejuvenated his career since returning to his former club last summer and the Reds have begun to reap the rewards on the pitch.
Bellamy scored Liverpool's opening goal in Sunday's win over Aston Villa and provided an assist for the game's other goal with a corner for Martin Skrtel to head home.
And Dalglish has been suitably impressed by the well-travelled hit man's contribution to the side since his return to his boyhood heroes and believes he will continue to improve with age.
He said: "I suppose you'd imagine that next year he'll be even better, so we've got a lot to look forward to.
"I don't know what age he is. I know he's not a teenager but since he's came in, he's been fantastic on and off the pitch.
"The way he looks after himself is a great credit to his profession and he's getting his rewards. He's really made a contribution for us.
"We said when he came in that we were delighted to have him and we know his heart's in the right place so the performances he's put in have been excellent for us."
Dalglish also expects Liverpool's young guns to take note of Bellamy's measured approach to match preparation, which has seen him continuing to stake a claim in the starting line-up at the age of 32.
"He is a great example because of the way he prepares for the games. When he's prepared well, it's a great example to the kids to see somebody's who prepared properly and look what they've done on the pitch," he added.
"A lot of people can look at him and learn because he is pretty dedicated to his profession and if there's young players there, they'll look up to that, or they should look up to that."
