Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will have to wait until next week to find out his fate after the Football Association failed to deliver their vedict on the racism row.

The Uruguayan stands accused of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra during the 1-1 draw between the sides on October 15, which sparked a thorough investigation.

Wembley chiefs were expected to report their findings this afternoon after three days of testimonies from both parties, including a defence from Reds boss Kenny Dalglish.

But the saga is now set to roll over into next week as the panel presiding over the disciplinary hearing work through the weekend while Suarez prepares for Liverpool's game with Aston Villa.

An FA statement said: "The Independent Regulatory Commission has confirmed there will be no decision this evening and will continue working through the weekend.

"There will be no announcement on any decision before Tuesday 20 December 2011 at the earliest."
