Kenny Dalglish today questioned the Football Association's handling of the Anfield racism row.
The Liverpool manager is expected give evidence to support Luis Suarez's case against allegations that he repeatedly abused Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
Suarez has been charged over the claims, said to have taken place during the game between the sides in October, with the FA's disciplinary hearing expected to deliver a verdict this week.
But Dalglish believes that Wembley chiefs have failed to keep people abreast of the matter which saw the Uruguayan initially reprimanded last month following a thorough investigation.
He said: "We can't do or say anything that will be prejudicial in any way, shape or form.
"With regards to Luis, we'll say what we have said before. We'll stand right beside him and help him as much as we possibly can. After it's finished there will be a chance for a conversation.
"As I said last week, I think the FA were the ones that should have given you the information when everything was happening, not us."
