John Henry set foot inside Anfield this afternoon as he kicked off his reign as owner of Liverpool Football Club.
The head of New England Sports Ventures was shown round the Reds' home by managing director Christian Purslow 24 hours after a £300million buyout was finally completed despite a series of legal challenges from former owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks
During his first tour of Anfield, Henry enjoyed the view inside the stadium and visited the club's museum and official megastore, as well as the soon-to-be opened Boot Room Sports Cafe, housed in the famous Spion Kop stand.
Henry will not be at tomorrow's Merseyside derby with Everton but hinted yesterday that his first appearance at a Liverpool match would be next Sunday when Blackburn Rovers travel to L4.
This morning he and other NESV representatives arrived at the club's Melwood training ground this morning to meet manager Roy Hodgson and the Liverpool squad, who Henry addressed after watching them train on the pitches.
