Blackpool are planning a move for Liverpool winger Nabil El Zhar.

Earlier this month the Moroccan winger stated that he wanted to leave Anfield following a lack of opportunities at Anfield since joining the club four years ago.

With El Zhar not expected to feature in the plans of new manager Roy Hodgson, Tangerines boss Ian Holloway is now looking at taking the 23-year-old on loan despite securing a temporary deal ex-Marseille winger Laurent Merlin.

Metz striker Razak Omotoyossi is also on loan at Bloomfield Road but Holloway is keen to bolster his ranks ahead of the new campaign after Leicester City and Derby County rebuffed approaches by Premier League newcomers for DJ Campbell and Rob Hulse respectively.

Very undervalued player who could be a critical player for Blackpool at a low cost.

I'll give him a jockeyback.

Blackpool should loan him indeed. In the Rafa era, we hardly ever saw what he is really capable of. I'm sure he will shine for Blackpool.

Astute business - if can't sell outright then loan him to lower wage bill until he becomes saleable perhaps permanent to Blackpool
