The Everton Tigers are ready to bounce back at their BBL Championship game against Plymouth Raiders on Saturday 5th December.
Last weekend the Tigers were on the wrong end of an agonising six point defeat at the hands of reigning BBL Champions Newcastle Eagles last time out having led at half time.
Ahead of the trip to the south coast the Tigers boss, Tony Garbelotto, has spent the last week instilling belief in his squad after they came so close to pulling off a memorable victory at the home of their arch rivals.
The Tigers can also draw inspiration from their previous visit earlier in the season to Devon when they won 102-81 thanks to an inspired 35 point haul from the in-form Jerome Gumbs.
The Raiders have had a far from ideal start to their season, and have lost forward James Noel and influential American Eric Flato to injury.
They currently sit rock bottom of the BBL Championship Table with only one win a 96-95 overtime triumph over Newcastle Eagles, in the ten games of the campaign to date.
Tony Garbelotto is still well aware of the threat that Plymouth will carry:
"It is always tough playing against Plymouth in Plymouth. I have said this many times before, they have a great home court and it is a place that I love to coach at.
"Gary Stronach has probably had the worst luck of any coach this season; but I know he will work through it.
"We played well last time and also had the advantage that they played the night before. We will not have that this time, so I am expecting a tough game.
"Gary has a balanced attack which has excellent strength inside with Florentino Valencia, Matthew Hillary and Anthony Rowe. Anthony Martin provides straight line speed and this will always cause problems."
Tickets are still available for the Tigers’ next home game at the Greenbank Sports Academy against MK Lions on 11th December by calling 0151 280 7757.
