Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has lavished Everton Football Club in praise, saying the Blues are THE example for mid-table clubs trying to establish themselves.
Pulis, in his pre match press conference ahead of the Potters game against Everton tomorrow said that Goodison Boss David Moyes has done a terrific job building his team on shoestring.
The mix of bargain hunting in the transfer market and developing youth through to first teamers is something, Pulis says, is to be admired.
He said: "Everton are a club that we should take notice of and look up to, and try and follow."
"He (Moyes) has some fantastic lads there who he has brought together over a period of time, and I think people are now seeing how good they really are.
Pulis himself is beginning to see the fruits of Stoke's grass roots labour with players like Ryan Shawcross, who came to Stoke as Manchester United academy player, becoming a future England international thanks to his time at the Britannia.
Stoke will need to forget last weeks drubbing at the hands of championship favourites Chelsea if they are to steal a win against an in-form Everton outfit.
Pulis said: "We know how difficult the game is going to be because they have been outstanding over the past few months."
"Nobody liked what happened to us last week because that was totally out of character, but we can bounce back and that's what we will be looking to do on Saturday, because we want the season to end on a high"
Everton are likely to have the services of Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman available for the trip to the Britannia tomorrow for what is the Potters last home game of the season.
