Derby County manager Nigel Clough has revealed that he is interested in re-signing Everton prodigy James Vaughan for a second loan term.
The 21-year-old striker's initial spell at Pride Park was cut short in September due to a knee injury but has since resumed training following a successful operation and period of recovery.
Rams boss Clough, who played for the Blues' Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the mid-1990s, is hoping to have Vaughan in the ranks at Pride Park come January when loan deals for the Leicester City duo of Paul Dickov and DJ Campbell expire.
He said: "We hope to get him down at some point for a training session with us, so he doesn't come in cold in January."
