Everton seemed to have stalled in their quest for Europe having only won one out of their last five outings.
But the flip side of the coin is David Moyes' men have only lost once (Manchester United) and the manager believes his side can get back to winning ways against West Brom.
Their last game saw a disappointing 0-0 draw away to Newcastle but the match has left the Blues without play-maker and joint leading goalscorer Mikel Arteta who ruptured a cruciate knee ligament ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Striker Victor Anichebe is also out with a knee injury following a horror tackle from Magpie new boy Kevin Nolan that forced the big front-man to hobble from the field.
Currently 6th Everton are four points Arsenal and six points clear of their nearest rivals Wigan.
But even with a weakened squad Everton should still have too much quality for a West Brom team rooted to the foot of the table.
Hope for Moyes is a return to training for Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and Marouane Fellaini who may all be fit for Saturday and other leading goalscorer in Tim Cahill, after he completed his one match ban.
In August, Everton came away from The Hawthorns with a 2-1 victory thanks to goals by Osman and Yakubu.
In form Leighton Baines claims his side are not worried about the loss of Mikel as there is quality in abundance fighting for the midfield positions.
Baines said: "Losing Mikel is a major loss but it does not worry us.
"We have fine players all fighting for a slot in the middle of the park with Tim (Cahill), Jack (Rodwell), Phil (Neville), Marouane (Fellaini), and Leon (Osman) all capable of doing the job.
"Mikel has always taken precedence over dead ball situations, but if I can take them then I'm happy to step in.
"We are sixth in the league and we are there because of the squad. We may not have the depth of others but we have the quality and belief that many don't.
"We never take any game lightly and West Brom are the same but the gaffer will be expecting nothing less than three points and so will we."
Tony Mowbray's side have lost ten of their 13 games away from The Hawthorns, and are three points away from safety.
But despite their position Mowbray knows that two wins takes his side clear of the drop zone and Everton's injuries may give his team a slight advantage.
Tony said: "We got beat last weekend but not one head dropped after the game. The lads know what they have to do and they will fight to move us up the table.
"We are only three points from safety and a couple of wins changes everything.
"We are not a powerful team who rely on brute strength to win matches. We play good football which could be our advantage at Everton.
"They have a lot of players out injured and we could capitalise on this.
"Every defeat hurts but we have left the Fulham game behind us and we are focused on getting points from Goodison."
