Everton captain Phil Neville has been nicknamed T-Bag by his team-mates because of his striking resemblance to the Prison Break character.
The England midfielder was given the tag after his Everton pals said he was the spit of the actor Robert Knepper who plays T-Bag in the hit US television drama.
The character is seen as the man who nobody likes but always seems to be involved in all the latest plans.
Neville revealed: "Andy Johnson was a big fan of calling me that and Leon Osman as well.
"Since AJ's left it seems to have gone quiet a little bit so that's hopefully the end of that.
"To be fair, it was quite funny because T-Bag is a real funny character."
Neville has played a vital role since joining David Moyes' side in 2005 from Manchester United for £3.5m.
A club source added: "The lads started calling Phil by it in training one day and it's just stuck.
"He'd probably much prefer to be escape leader Michael Schofield being the captain of the side."
With star player Mikel Arteta ruled out for the rest of the campaign, Neville will play a big part in masterminding Everton's aim to secure a UEFA Cup spot this season.
