David Moyes keen to make Steven Pienaar's Everton FC return permanent

David Moyes has admitted that he would like to make Steven Pienaar's Everton return a permanent one.

The South African midfielder arrived back at Goodison Park at the end of January on loan until the end of the season, exactly 12 months since he left the Blues to join Tottenham Hotspur.

A lack of first-team opportunities at White Hart Lane allowed Pienaar to come back to Merseyside, where he has recaptured the form which saw him revered during his first spell at Everton.

And though Moyes insists that there have been no discussions about re-signing the 30-year-old, but concedes that retaining the ex-Ajax man's services would be a great boost going into next season.

He said: "I'll talk with the chairman at the end of the season, so I don't think there'll be anything done before then.

"For all the amount of times people ask, there's certainly not going to be an answer.

"But it'd be great to keep him and I think he's found somewhere which he's happy with so hopefully we're able to do something."
