The FA have upheld Everton Football Club's appeal against the red-card which was wrongly issued to Jack Rodwell in last weekend's Merseyside Derby.
The Blues were left facing an uphill struggle in their clash with Liverpool after referee Martin Atkinson rashly dismissed the youngster for what seemed a fair tackle on Luis Suarez.
David Moyes accused the Yorkshire official of "ruining the game" after making duff call despite being only yards from the incident.
Outnumbered, the Blues kept Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool at bay for the majority of the game before being breached after the introduction of fresh legs to the Reds' midfield.
Rodwell was set to face a three match ban for serious foul play before the club appealed against the decision, a move which has today proved successful.
In a short statement the FA said: "Everton’s Jack Rodwell had had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld.
"As a result, the three-match suspension handed to him has been withdrawn."
It is, as yet, unclear what sanctions Martin Atkinson will face after unfairly influencing the outcome of a Premier League game.
