Everton FC: Round backs Saha to bounce back after Twitter spat

Everton assistant manager Steve Round fully expects Louis Saha to bounce back for the Blues after the Frenchman voiced his displeasure at being omitted from David Moyes' squad for their weekend win against Wigan.

Round confirmed that the matter had been dealt with 'quietly' by Moyes who pulled his main striker to one side for a quiet word during the week.

And while the Blues' number two admitted he could sympathise with the injury prone forward, he said he expects Saha to be ready if called upon by Moyes this week.

Round said: "You can understand the frustration of people when they're not selected and not picked.

"But we can only pick eleven unfortunately and they have to live with that. That's part of being a professional I'm afraid it's part of their job.

"They get paid a lot of money and they work very hard on the training field to be ready when called upon.

"It's the manager's decision to decide who he picks and whether he decides this team or win and that team will win and the players just have to get on with it.

"There's not been a big thing made of it (Saha's tweets) internally, it was quietly done.

"Louis is a terrific player who I'm sure will bounce back to feature for Everton this season and come on and play and get us results I've no doubt about that."

Saha will be in contention for the Blues' Carling Cup fourth round clash against Premier League rivals West Brom tomorrow after getting a full week's training under his belt.

Round confirmed Everton have a full squad to choose from ahead of the fixture which is the first time the two have met at Goodison since West Brom's 4-1 thrashing of the Toffees last year.
