Joseph Yobo has finally achieved the exit from Everton he so badly wanted but, once again, only in the form of a loan deal as he returns to Turkish side Fenerbahce for the season.
The Nigerian was said to have been less than impressed when he saw his name listed in David Moyes' first team squad for the coming season having had his heart set on a move away from the club.
He returned from international duty, where he scored in his country's 2-0 win over Madagascar, to furiously negotiate his a way out of Merseyside before the Turkish transfer window closed last night.
After a summer of having clashed over a permanent transfer fee for the 31-year-old, Fenerbahce and the Blues finally came to an agreement which will see Yobo return to the Turks who will pay his wages for the campaign.
The deal does mean, though, that Yobo will return to the Goodison at the end of next season another year older and with his transfer value having depreciated further.
