Tim Cahill will join up with the Australia squad before his first game of the season with Everton for the Soceroo's friendly against Wales.
Cahill, who appears to have recovered from the foot injury which blighted his campaign last year, has been included in his country's 18-man-squad for the game at Cardiff City's stadium.
David Moyes will be hoping that Australia coach Holger Osieck employs a certain degree of common sense when using the midfielder.
Cahill is likely to start for Everton just three days after friendly international in their Premier League opener against Tottenham.
