Everton FC: Cahill reveals collared new kit

Tim Cahill has officially unveiled Everton's home kit for the 2011/12 season after a twitter slip up earlier in the year gave fans a sneak peak.

The Aussie posed up for official pictures in the new strip which were released by the club today, showing a traditional looking shirt complete with collar.

The royal blue strip steers clear of any controversy, the type of which plagued Liverpool's kit launch recently, with the only notable colour addition being a subtle amber piping on the neck and sleeves.

Cahill's original slip up came when he posted a picture of himself with Real Madrid Brazil star Kaka on Twitter.

The pair where shooting adverts for the new Fifa football computer game which required Cahill to wear the then unreleased strip.

His absent minded upload meant hundreds of thousands of fans where treated to a preview of the kit weeks ahead of the launch.

The new strip will be available to buy on Thursday, 14 July, at Everton One, Everton Two and online.
